Just how hot has it been in Kansas City? 🌡 A heat wave crashed in KC last week with extreme humidity and temperature indexes over 100 degrees. And more heat and humidity are on the way this week. The Star sent visual journalist Emily Curiel out with an infrared thermometer to find out how hot some surfaces get when the sun is shining on them. What we often have to find out on our own on these really hot, sunshiny days is what not to touch when it gets this warm.
