Contestants decked out in glitter, rhinestones and couture competed in Kansas City’s inaugural KC Pride Ball last night, a traditional Ballroom competition hosted by kcpridealliance to kick off the city’s weekend of queer celebration. And they slayed. Entrants competed for $10,000 in cash prizes and the honor of being judged the best in one of 16 categories, like best dressed, fem queen and drag performance. Exuberant performances combined drag with dance, fashion and attitude and were judged by a panel of judges and a vocal crowd.
