This is for me. To me. You’ve jumped off second story buildings, out of trees, off moving vehicles. You worked this body hard and relentlessly, and I’ll be damned it’s always held up to the abuse. You’ve never broken, sprained, fractured or even gotten stitches. Probably a few times you should have but all in all nothing major. Shit happens baby girl, congratulations on the first time your body didn’t act immortal. Something so small, something you’ve done a hundred times, but this time your body didn’t hold up to the crazy things you put it through. The beautiful part was you got to see exactly who you are. You could have cried, passed out, been miserable, felt like a victim. You’re a tough woman. Instead you laughed. You walked home. You joked about it.
