Today is the 97th birthday of our school’s namesake: El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, also known as Malcolm X, birthed a legacy that will live on through us. As we take this moment to reflect on Malcolm’s belief in the power of education, one must acknowledge the strength of his words: “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” Our mission is the very vision that Malcolm lived by.
