U.S. Women and Babies are dying at an alarming rate due to complications around pregnancy, but government officials remain seated and silent. I’m using #BlanketChange to stand with MarchofDimes to demand that candidates promise to enact change to eliminate this growing crisis. 🚨Alarming Facts: • Black infants have the highest infant mortality rate in the U.S. • Over 700 women have died this year alone giving birth in the U.S., with 50,000 experiencing close calls • The preterm birth rate among black women in the U.S. is 49% higher than the rate among all other women.
