Jess fell into the wrong crowd after being bullied in school. At 13 years old, she became involved in gangs and county lines - taking and dealing drugs. Years later, with her mental health at rock bottom, Jess was introduced to boxing. Alongside her parents, Jess’ boxing coach Paul helped to give her a new outlet to manage and talk about her emotions. As part of our UOKM8 campaign, we asked Jess to tell her story into a mirror - not realising Paul was there listening on the other side.
