Philanthropy & Art - the intersection of photography and wildlife conservation
Pie Aerts is a firm believer that art can be an incredibly powerful tool in restoring our lost connections. Therefore he initiated Prints for Wildlife in 2020, a fundraising initiative which has up to date generated $ 1.75mio for African wildlife and communities badly hit by Covid. He will take us on a journey showing how working in Africa inspired him to come to action. He will talk about the power of community, about the healing effect of hope generated by art in times of climate anxiety, and about why he believes that if people work together, beautiful things are possible. Last but not least, as a Hahnemühle Global Ambassador he will talk about the partnership between Prints for Wildlife and Hahnemühle FineArt.
Join his talk during the Berlin Photo Week this Sunday on the Arena Plaza Stage.
