Avajane Lei is our resident busy bee! Joining in her sophomore year, Ava quickly made a mark on the team through her energetic nature and always being there to lend a helping hand. As our only senior from Walls, Ava led all of the SWW kids, always there to encourage us for erg tests and give us much-needed advice. As a rower, Ava was an integral part of the Novice 8, and 4V/5V and even tried her hand at coxing!  The most impressive part of Avajane’s rowing career was her ability to commit to countless other activities and still be a strong member of the crew team. Ava managed to dual enroll at GW her last two years of high school, balancing being an academic weapon and a stellar rower.
