Palma 2nd in Jamboree Cross country season opened on a spectacular day in Monterey, with Palma taking 2nd place in the Monterey Peninsula/Brian Rogers Jamboree. Carmel won with a score of 43 points - five points better than the Chieftains. Moises Benito was the top Palma finisher, taking 3rd in 16:59. Benjy Altamirano placed 9th in 18:35, and right behind him were Leo Santana in 10th (18:50), and Tatum Sanders in 11th (18:59). Diego Calusdian made his varsity debut by placing 15th in 20:00.
