The long drought of high school competitive sport broke Tuesday when Palma beat Trinity Christian in a 3-mile dual cross-country meet hosted by York School. After nearly a year of cancelled sport due to the pandemic, the welcomed sights and sounds of runners racing on the trails echoed over the hills adjacent to York School. York did not field a complete team, but did provide the day's fastest runner in Michael Julian, who won in 15:48. Palma's Moises Benito was second in 17:32. Jayson DaSila placed third in 19:28, with Tatum Sanders taking fourth 20:10. Freshmen, Leo Santana, and Gianni Ponce, rounded out the top-5 finishers for Palma by placing 6th and 7th, respectively. Palma beat Trinity by a score of 17-40.
