On Friday, June 7, Michigan Central Station officially reopened to the public for the first time in nearly four decades after a six-year restoration by Ford Motor Company. Over the 10 days of OPEN House, more than 60,000 people are expected to join the reopening festivities. From now until June 16, ticketed visitors can tour the revitalized ground floor during the OPEN House, featuring immersive experiences like the MC Cube LED installation, a 100-foot sculptural timeline, a portrait gallery, a space for sharing personal stories, behind-the-scenes restoration artifacts, visual history walls, a sneak peek at upcoming developments, an interactive AI light sculpture, and a Kids’ Zone with activities and a LEGO® model of The Station. Community members who aren’t able to attend the OPEN house exhibit can experience the first floor of The Station through self-guided tours beginning Friday, June 21. #MichiganCentralOpen 📸 by @stephen_mcgee
