I woke up this morning, and the raindrops were tapping on the side of my window. As that slow, quiet tap plays inside my room, I did a self-check of how my body felt from yesterday. It started at 9 am, where I made minor cleaning adjustments for the guests who were arriving at noon. As I was preparing the facility, I thought to myself; this game is changing so fast.⁣ ⁣ The day of playing in a local association is far gone. The day of being on a team with made up t-shirts and play a 10-20 game season has ended. The day of not knowing how good you are, are over.⁣ ⁣ Before you wish of days of past, the nostalgia your experiencing is a farse. We only remember the good feelings—the problems you had when you were young fade, and the frustration dies with time. When looking back, I can remember a lot of playing careers ending prematurely because they didn't have the resources of bigger cities.
