In 1972 these Black medical students discussed why it’s important to have a Black doctor. This is from the documentary, ‘Code Blue,’ and was found on Twitter through an account named EarlLandix. 👇🏾
“Code Blue (1972) is an award-winning film used to recruit minorities into the medical profession in the early 1970s, a time when such representation in health services was uncommon. The film not only had a lasting impact on medical recruitment, it also is one of the earliest existing films created by Henry Hampton’s groundbreaking Boston-based documentary company, Blackside Inc., which produced such seminal civil rights series as Eyes on the Prize.”
