Palestine Update: Day was the first day at meeting with people. The biggest takeaway is that there is so much trauma here both in Israel and Palestine that it is palpable. It's also clear that there is complexity but not the kind of complexity that should make one give up. Hope. Every person we talk to talked about the complexities of how we got here, how we get out and where we're going. But everyone also felt like to give up hope was not an option.
