At its beginning "Asian American" was a grouping built around political power. The term has a complicated history as it makes invisible the distinct stories of those it represents. With the SCOTUS decision on Affirmative Action it is again being used to drive a wedge between communities of color that have been in solidarity for generations. Do not buy into the model minority myth or the lies that are being told about college admissions. While it's exhausting to have to keep reminding people of this, recent actions by the SCOTUS have not only started a new watershed of exclusion for Black and Brown siblings, but has fomented Anti-Asian rhetoric that I fear will end in more violence and division. Please resist nourishing the unending hunger of the white supremacy beast for its craving for power over others is insatiable and, if we are not vigilant, it will devour us all. #NotYourWedge . . . . #affirmativeaction #scotus #systemicracism #whitesupremacy #racism #racisminamerica #racist #...
