The Weekly Word is back. Thanks for your patience! One of the ways that we get faith wrong is by falling into the trap of believing that we can somehow measure or determine someone else's or our own level or strength of faith. A transactional, productive-driven, faux-meritocracy, capitalistic world tells us... We are not being faithful enough unless we are feeling weary and exhausted. We are not being faithful enough unless we are sacrificing joyful parts of our life. We are not being faithful enough unless we are making people angry with our poking and prodding. Sure, these things will happen when we move through the world trying to be faithful to God's calling on our lives, but we must keep reminding ourselves that our relationship with God is not transactional nor will God hold back their presence if we are not X enough. faith The worth of our faith is not determined by — how weary we are how much we have sacrificed or how many people we have angered.
