March 16th is a bittersweet day in the Reyes-Chow/Pugh household. On March 16, 2021. Not only was this the day of the Atlanta Spa Shooting that killed eight people, but it was also the day my Father-in-Law, Rudy Pugh died. March 16th is also the birthday of my brother-in-law, Brian, who was murdered in 2008. One bright spot was that this was also the day that @chalicemediagroup released my book, "In Defense of Kindness: Why It Matters, How It Changes Our Lives, and How It Can Save the World". Since then I have zoomed into dozens of book groups, met with hundreds of people, and have genuinley enjoyed gathering with people around conversations about kindness.
