This week I offer up a Litany for your church folks to join our voices with others who have been participating in the January 15th #transphobiaisasin campaign. While I have folks in my family and community who identify as trans, proximity should not be the primary motivation for us to visible and vocally affirm and support our trans siblings, we do this because God has created trans people beautiful, holy, and divine, just as God has done with all of humanity. To deny this reality is to deny the complexity of all humanity, the entire body politic, and the holy body of Christ.
