#WeeklyWord: gift
With epiphany this week and all the talk about gifts, it got me thinking about the misplaced giftedness that we attribute to struggle. While I don't think life is devoid of struggle, conflict, and difficulties, I also don't believe that the gift lies in those things in themselves but rather in the spaces it creates for us to grow as individuals and communities.
With this in mind, let us avoid struggle nor set it as the final destination, rather let's see it as something that we pass through, go over, or step around in order for the other side of struggle to be revealed, which is the real gift.

we accept brokenness as permanent
and we endure despair as if it was meant to be.
