Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, โGlory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.โ โ Luke 2:13-14
Not sure if you realize this, but Christians can be soooo serious, as if we believe God will get mad if we over-rejoice.
We often hold back for fear of being perceived as being โextraโ or arrogant about faith. These are good instincts to have, but sometimes, in body, mind, and spirit, we need to rejoice. When done faithfully, the world can tell the difference.
On this day, as we celebrate the birth of Christ with all the messiness, agitation, and anxiety that this act brings to the world, let us also remember that this is an event fully deserving of our soul's most joyful noise.
As we welcome and celebrate the birth of the Christ child, let our bodies, mind, hearts, and souls rejoice and be glad in it! It will be okay. God will no...
