“Saved” is a work that sometimes brings shivers to many. Because it has often been used as justification for the oppression and abuse of so many in the name of Jesus Christ, we have lost what it means to experience salvation in its most grace-filled form
Salvation is not about placing shackles on the minds, hands, and hearts of ourselves or others, rather it is about being liberated by choosing to believe that, for eternity, we have been reconnected to God and are called to a new way of seeing and living. This must not be a lens or life of rigidity and narrowing of the world, but one of discovering the expansive nature of God, and the world that God has created.
Being saved is not about being shoved into a box of behavior and thought, but about being freed to build and bolster a new life in Christ. So with great joy, let us claim our salvation and live as if...
