Quick #PhotoDump from our time at @zephyrpoint_tahoe and the Ethnic Concerns Consultation's 50th Anniversary. Jubilee Celebration 🎉🎉🎉 I had the privilege of being part of a leadership/speaking team with @liztheoharis of the @kairoscenternyc and the @poorpeoplescampaign and Elona Street-Stewart of @elonaandgregory and a past Moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Talking about faith, justice, and the gospel of liberation with this group was so very energizing, and, I hope, meaningful for everyone. There was also plenty of laughter, food, and just delighting in one another's company in the beautiful setting. Returning to ECC was a kind of coming home for me as it had been a few years. It was great fun reconnecting with one of the significant communities that raised me in the faith. It's on the calendar for 2023! NOTE: I grew up coming to this beautiful location and brought youth groups here in the 90s. It was quite rustic back then, but wowza, it has been upgraded and redone....
