TDN's #BreedersCup40 Celebration continues today with beloved champions, WISE DAN and MAIN SEQUENCE 💝 Though the two never faced each other on the track, as Wise Dan specialized at a mile and Main Sequence wanted longer, they both developed quite the fanbase and never failed to leave onlookers in awe. Wise Dan (Wiseman's Ferry) won back-to-back editions of the GI breederscup Mile in 2012-13 at Santa Anita as part of a 31-start career that saw him win 23 times (19 graded stakes) while earning a total of $7,552,920. A 2x Horse of the Year and 4x Champion (Older Horse and Grass Horse), he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020. Now 16, he lives with his half-brother Successful Dan at trainer Charlie LoPresti's farm. Main Sequence (Aldebaran) won the 2014 GI Breeders' Cup Turf by a 1/2 length over Flintshire, making it four straight Grade I victories during his first season racing stateside.
