Today @robin_pugh and I stopped by @HawaiiVolcanoesNPS on our way to Hilo. Even with the wind and the rain, what we could see was pretty cool . . . I mean lava hot 😀 I am always fascinated by all of the different climates, flora, and fauna that the islands offer. Simply beautiful. If you decide to go, we went during the day, so it was not too cold. It's def rainy, so bring a parka and/or an umbrella or just soak it all in! The visitor center is worth checking out for merch and directions. If you go during the day, try to get there before 10 as we def noticed it getting more crowded as the morning wore on. If you go at night, I suspect it's colder and you should bring a flashlight for the lava tube.
