My faith compels me to believe that reproductive choice should be accessible to all, prayer does not belong in schools, and the government should not fund religious education. These beliefs are faithful Christian ones. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. While I never take it upon myself to determine whether or not someone is "Christian" what I do know is that those of us who profess a Gospel of welcome, justice, and love must not let the larger cultural narrative of the Christian faith continue to be hijacked by those who profess a gospel of exclusion, oppression, violence, and hate.
