Yesterday was weird and wonderful. Like so many families this #Thanksgiving was not quite the same, but, it was just as lovely. When expectations shift, room is made new experiences of wholeness. This year everyone pitched in to prep the meal, we had a new family configuration down a college kid and plus one significant other, we played games, we watched movies, and the great "Turkey Gone Bad" debacle did not overcome us :-) On another note, with broadening understandings and challenges of native and indigenous communities, I also took more time to think about responses, reactions, and acts of solidarity with #Thankstaking, so I am appreciative for the educators and activist who are pushing us to dive a little deeper this and every day. So even though we missed family and many of our traditions, we had a lovely day. Now back to it.
