An Iowan with a powerful message will be seen competing on an arduous obstacle course in the latest episode of “American Ninja Warrior” on June 10. Tommy Rutter, 27, of Clive, was selected to compete in Season 16 of the nbc show where contestants tackle an obstacle course testing balance, strength and speed in front of an audience all for a million-dollar prize. Rutter, who grew up in Iowa, wore a shirt during ninjawarrior with a message written in pink that read, “Tomorrow needs you,” while competing.
