Unsponsored first impression and review of the Dyson Airstrait - I’ve been in the market for a new straightener for a while, and this seemed like really cool technology to try out. This is a combo hair dryer/hair straightener. You can clasp the sides shut and the tool functions as a regular blow dryer, and then you can clamp your hair in it like a regular straightener. The Airstrait doesn’t have hot plates - it uses hot air to blow dry your hair straight. It definitely works well. I was surprised at how straight and smooth my hair turned out. My natural hair is fairly frizzy and wavy, so I got a great result out of the Airstrait. I did have trouble with my bangs, so I don’t think this is a great product for shaping your face framing pieces. I ended up using a regular straightener on my bangs after this.
