On April 9th, 1974 Padres owner Ray Kroc had one of the most iconic quotes from an owner of all time. He went over the PA system and said "I have never seen such stupid ballplaying in my life!" This was during the 8th inning of the home opener from the Padres as they were well on their way to losing their fourth straight game to start the season.
