We are getting ready to go back to school! One of the challenges of high school athletes is learning how to balance school, ⚽️, life. Most players do ok with scheduled club/ High School practices, games, going to school etc… However the players that excel at the next level set goals for themselves and stay disciplined! How many times a week do you train outside of your scheduled sessions? Do you work on developing your weaknesses or focus on “fun” training. Now is the time to set goals for yourself for club, high school, academics and in your personal life. Surround yourself with like minded people. Be willing to sacrifice and put in the work to accomplish your goals. It’s not too late to be more disciplined about taking care of your body. Do you eat enough to fuel your body? Do you hydrate well enough on a consistent basis? Do you work on injury prevention or strength exercises to prepare you for season? Or do you just go out and play? Do you watch film and analyze to see what you can...
