Happy Birthday Denali National Park. Established on this day in 1917, the national park preserves almost 5 million acres of pristine wilderness around Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. One of the most incredible things about Denali is that it has the largest difference between the elevation of its base to its summit of any mountain in the world.
