Last night was the most iconic performance of possibly my lifetime. Detroit showed out. They showcased our strengths, weakness, courage, and most of all we showed who we are. We never stop, we always get back up, weather the storm, and carry on. One of the best compliments I ever received was, “You embody the spirit of Detroit”, and this moment reminded who I am, where I came from, and why I’ve always put on for my city. Detroit you are my home, thank you for reminding me how blessed I am to be from a place as energetic, resilient, and wonderful as you.
