To celebrate the IAAF World Indoor Championships kicking off tomorrow in Sopot, Poland, here is the first photo in a special three-part series from an #indoor #track meet at what is now the Lane Ice Center in Eugene, OR, circa the early 1980s. Before it became an ice rink, the building was a horse center. The facility was fitted for indoor track competition with a 160yd plywood track from Portland that was later shortened to a 150yd track.
