Ashton Eaton clears the pole vault bar at the 2008 Olympic Trials at #HaywardField. He placed fifth overall in the #decathlon with 8,122 points. It wasn't until 2011 that Eaton won his first international medal—a silver in the decathlon at that year's World Championships, with a tally of 8,505 points. Eaton is the 2012 Olympic champion in the decathlon after racking up 8,869 points in London.
