Humber College BID Students became the educators as part of their recent Independent Study course. The poster above shows how students Danielle Narramore and Larissa Borys developed and delivered a workshop for grade 8 students on design principles and the interior design field. In a second session, they led a music-inspired model making workshop. They even hosted a critique to discuss the work, and shared some of their BID projects to share the rigour of their interior design studies with the younger group. Professor Zaiba Mian, ARIDO, says "I think it's meaningful for both parties, for our students and for the elementary students. They have an interest in design, and haven't had a chance to see what's involved, or hear about it. It's a nice way to introduce these ideas a bit earlier.
