It’s 23:11 at night; I just finished a conversation…” - i have been in Florence (and Italy broadly) for about half a month. i have been enjoying a photography class that questions the impact of tourism and the often subverted signs, culture, and people that are native to this area. Selecting Santa Croce and the idea of sport, ritual, and protest as it relates to the neighborhood in a queer lens, project #1 of the series seeks to investigate photographic manipulation of memory and time through low-res scanning and composite image collages.
