We’re thrilled to be celebrating the Cocos Island FAICO grant, aimed at enhancing Cocos Island National Park infrastructure and equipping dedicated park rangers. This initiative underscores the vital role of rangers in conserving the stunning park and its rich biodiversity like the Endangered Hammerhead Shark, Green Sea Turtle and Giant Cceanic Manta Ray. The grant provides: 🔹 Upgraded equipment for surveillance and safety, including GPS devices, kayaks, and safety gear. 🔹 Infrastructure improvements for better living and working conditions. 🔹 Enhanced communication capabilities with new radios and repeater stations.
