Does intermittent fasting increase your risk for heart disease? Well based on a new study that was released this week you might think so! But I am here to clear this up and tell you this is just click bait! Stop falling for click bait!
Let’s break it down! Although the study identified an association between an 8-hour eating window and cardiovascular death, this does not mean that time-restricted eating caused cardiovascular death.
The study’s limitations included its reliance on self-reported dietary information, which may be affected by participant’s memory or recall and may not accurately assess typical eating patterns. Factors that may also play a role in health, outside of daily duration of eating and cause of death, were not included in the analysis. The data they collected came from 2 self reported diet info surveys in the 1st year.
