I am often asked, what’s the servings size? And to be honestly serving sizes will vary from person to person depending on your personal protein needs per meal!
My per meal protein is about 40 grams so here is how I take a pot of chili and determine my perfect portions!
Chili recipe:
2 pounds ground beef (next time I will use a leaner ground beef to reduce the overall calories and fats)
2 medium onions
1 green pepper
28oz crushed tomatoes
10 oz roteltomatoes
Water and spices to taste
The full pot of chili equals
2298 calories
136 g fat
183 g pro
78 g carbs
23g fiber
I start with The weight of the pot. Then once my chili is cooked I weigh the pot plus the chili.
Pot = 829g
Pot + chili = 3527
3527-829 = 2698 grams
