The fear of real food!
This is what frustrates me the most about most nutritional advice right now. It all revolves around the fear of certain foods and macro nutrients.
I was talking to a client today who said I just don’t know what to eat! I said eat real food eat protein and fruits and vegetables and Whole Foods and keep it simple. And she asked can I have corn and I said yes! She asked can I have butter and I said yes! Trust me, butter and corn are not your issues.
In her case, it is sugary sodas and coffee drinks. In her case it’s chips and salty snacks. But she is scared to eat corn and butter.
Gang, let’s stop villainizing (I think I made that word up) real food. I promise if we each sit down and really evaluate the food choices that are making the biggest impact on our health goals it’s not gonna be corn and it’s not gonna be butter it’s going to be other things like alcohol and processed foods and sugars and snacks those are the things that we need to focus on omitting!
