Because this stuff is PERFECT for growing regenerative organic rice. So, in honor of world soil day, let us tell you ‘bout our best friend! 👇 ⁠ ⁠ 🛁 Our region’s heavy adobe clay soil holds water like a bathtub, which means water sits on top of the soil instead of sinking into it. That means we can use water to drown weeds instead of dousing our fields with chemicals AND return water to rivers and streams when we’re done with it! ⁠ ⁠ 💧 Our friends at CaliforniaRice found that 40% of the water used to grow rice gets recycled, flowing to neighboring farms to help irrigate different crops, traveling to wildlife refuges for reuse, or returning to the environment.
