As organic farmers, we’re always looking for opportunities to work in partnership with nature. In the 1970s, our founding fore-farmers—Eldon, Wendell, Harlan, and Homer Lundberg—tried to establish Azolla Fern in their fields to provide fertility and prevent weeds from growing. Azolla Fern can also help sequester carbon and capture nitrogen. We haven’t figured out how to harness it, but we still love seeing it on the farm. It’s a reminder to keep our eyes open for opportunities to work in partnership with nature so we can keep growing together for generations to come! 🌎👨‍🌾🌾 #ricefarm #ricefarming #organicfarming #organicfarmer #organicrice #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativefarming #regenerative #farming #farmlife #inpartnershipwithnature #goodfromthegrainup
