Each spring, before we get our tractors in the fields, we work with calwaterfowl to recover eggs from every field in which ducks have nested—up to thousands of acres per year! We transfer the eggs to a local hatchery to be incubated, hatched, raised, and released into the wild. Over the years, more than 30,000 ducklings have been rescued from our fields! It’s all part of our promise to leave the land better than we found it.
