Each year, a member of St. Joe's senior class is awarded the Class of 1931 Outstanding Senior Award, established by the late Dr. Richard Gaetz '31, as a tribute to the memory of his class. Members of the senior class nominate their classmates in consideration of their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, leadership abilities, and sense of character. The leadership team and department chairs select the award recipient based on an essay written by each nominee.
