Each year, a member of the St. Joe's senior class is awarded the Class of 1931 Outstanding Senior Award, established by the late Doctor Richard Gaetz as a tribute to the memory of his class. Members of the Senior Class nominate their classmates in consideration of their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, leadership abilities, and sense of character. The award recipient is selected by the leadership team and department chairs based on an essay written by each nominee. This year's finalists are Sam Herr, Travis Nixon, Mike Noonan, and Nick Licata. Last night, at the Baccalaureate Mass, the 2022 winner was announced.
