In honor of Veterans Day we would like to thank everyone who has served in the military to defend our country! Here’s a quote from one of our beach volleyball players: “Hi my name is Alaina Thomas and I am on the beach volleyball team here at Oregon! In light of Veteran’s Day, I would like to thank all of those who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces for our country. I am very thankful for Veteran’s Day because it encourages us as Americans to take a moment to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country by putting their lives on the line. Coming from a military family, I have seen the effects that combat has on soldiers both physically and psychologically, and because of that, I am pursuing a career in physical therapy and orthopedics in order to assist military personnel. By doing this, I hope I can help alleviate the physical pain they experience and give back a fraction to them for all that they have given me. #honorourvets #Go Ducks!”
