Hi everyone! I’m Liz, I’m a senior psychology major and I’m here in Wales for the UMBC-Faculty creative writing program! I’ll be taking you throughout my day on our UMBC story. Here are some pictures from yesterday. Yesterday, we hiked up one of Wales’ many Iron Age hill forts, built as long ago as the 4th century BCE. To still call it a “fort” may be a bit generous— the only remains of the actual fort at this site were bits of a crumbling wall. The real attraction is the view you get from the top of the hill! Between these hills are nestled countless towns and villages, one of which houses the university where I’m staying. The sun rises very early here, and I daily wake up to my window open and the bleating of sheep. Spot the cow 🔎🐮 in the last pic :) #umbc #wales #studyabroad #hooray
