Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) surrounds dealings with Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Basically, the lake needs to stay above a certain water level. With the current water allocations between the 7 states that share the Colorado River we are on pace to drop below those levels by 2026. The legislation signed by Doug Ducey compromises some Arizona water but at the same time keeps us in charge of it.
