⚠️ Bundle up, KC — our first winter storm of the season coming. ⚠️ The approaching winter storm will likely push its way into the Kansas City area overnight Wednesday bringing bitter cold, snow and strong winds that could create blizzard-like weather conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Kansas City. Kansas City is under a wind chill watch from Thursday to Saturday, and the weather service predicts that the highest temperature for the rest of the week will be 36 degrees on Wednesday. After that, the metro area will likely see single-digit temperatures until Christmas Day, with wind chills below zero. Meanwhile, near blizzard-like conditions are possible and could make driving hazardous. Travel is strongly discouraged for Thursday and Friday.
