A North Kansas City barbecue restaurant is closing, but fans will still be able to get their rubs and sauces, the owners say. Phil and Linda Hopkins, owners of smokingunsbbqcatering at 1218 Swift St., said they are retiring. They will close the operation at the end of business Nov. 11. “It’s bittersweet.
